96:13 How about the one who denies and turns away[1]?
96:14 Does he not know that Allah sees all?
96:15 No indeed; if he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock[1]
96:16 a lying, sinful forelock[1].
96:17 So let him call his associates;
96:18 We will call the wardens of Hellfire[1].
96:19 No indeed; do not obey him, but prostrate and draw near [to Allah].
97:1 Indeed, We sent this [Qur’an] down on the Night of Decree[1].
97:2 How do you know what the Night of Decree is?
97:3 The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
97:4 On that night the angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] descend by their Lord’s permission with all decrees[1].
97:5 It is all peace[1] until the break of dawn.
98:1 Those who disbelieve from the People of the Book and the polytheists were not going to desist [from disbelief][1] until there came to them clear proof,
98:2 a messenger from Allah, reciting pure pages[1]
98:3 containing upright commandments.
98:4 Yet those who were given the Scripture did not disagree[1] except after the clear proof came to them,
98:5 although they were commanded only to worship Allah with sincere devotion to Him, being inclined to the true faith, and to establish prayer and give zakah; that is the true religion.
