79:17 [Saying,] “Go to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds”.

79:18 And say: ‘Are you willing to be purified,

79:19 and I will guide you to your Lord so that you may fear Him?’”

79:20 Then Moses showed him the greatest sign[1].

79:21 But Pharaoh denied it and disobeyed.

79:22 Then he turned back striving to plot.

79:23 He gathered [his people] and proclaimed,

79:24 saying, “I am your lord, the most high.”

79:25 So Allah seized him for an exemplary punishment in this life and in the Hereafter[1].

79:26 Indeed, there is a lesson in this for those who fear Allah.

79:27 Are you more difficult to create or the heaven that He built?

79:28 He raised its vault high and proportioned it,

79:29 and darkened its night and brought forth its daylight.

79:30 And thereafter He spread out the earth,

79:31 brought forth from it its water and its pasture,

79:32 and set the mountains firmly,

79:33 as a provision for you and your grazing livestock.

79:34 But when the Supreme Calamity comes[1],

79:35 on that Day man will remember all what he did,

79:36 and the Blazing Fire will be exposed for all to see.

79:37 As for those who transgressed,

79:38 and preferred the life of this world,

79:39 the Blazing Fire will be their abode.

79:40 But those who feared standing before their Lord and restrained themselves from evil desires,

79:41 Paradise will surely be their abode.

79:42 They ask you concerning the Hour, “When will it be[1]?”

79:43 How could you possibly mention that?

79:44 Its knowledge rests only with your Lord[1].

79:45 You are only a warner for those who fear it.

79:46 On the Day when they see it[1], it will be as if they had remained [in this world] no more than an evening or a morning.
