51:31 Abraham said, “Then what is your mission, O messengers?”

51:32 They said, “We have been sent to a wicked people,

51:33 to send down upon them stones of clay,

51:34 marked by your Lord for the transgressors.”

51:35 We brought out those believers who were there,

51:36 but We only found in it one Muslim household[1].

51:37 And We left there a sign[1] for those who fear the painful punishment.

51:38 And [there is a sign in the story of] Moses when We sent him to Pharaoh with compelling proofs,

51:39 But he and his supporters turned away, and he said about [Moses], “A magician or a madman!”

51:40 So We seized him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea while he was blameworthy[1].

51:41 And [there is a sign in the story of] ‘Ād, when We sent against them the devastating barren wind[1].

51:42 It spared nothing it came upon except that it reduced it to ruin and decay.

51:43 And [there is a sign in the story of] Thamūd, when they were told, “Enjoy yourselves for a while[1].”

51:44 But they rebelled against the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them, while they were looking on.

51:45 They could not withstand it, nor could they ward it off.

51:46 And the people of Noah [were also destroyed] before them. They were indeed a rebellious people.

51:47 We built the heaven with might[1], and We are indeed expanding it.

51:48 And We spread out the earth. How well did We smooth it out[1]!

51:49 And We have created everything in pairs[1], so that you may take heed.

51:50 So flee to Allah[1]. Indeed, I am a clear warner to you from Him.

51:51 And do not set up another god with Allah. Indeed, I am a clear warner to you from Him.”
