50:16 We have created man and know what his soul whispers within him, for We are closer to him than his jugular vein[1].

50:17 When the two angel scribes, constantly accompanying him[1], one on the right, and the other on the left[2].

50:18 Not a single word he utters but there is with him a vigilant watcher, ready [to record it].

50:19 The throes of death will come with the truth[1]. This is what you were trying to avoid.

50:20 And the Trumpet will be blown[1]; that is the Day of [the given] warning.

50:21 Everyone will come, accompanied by an angel to drive him and another to testify[1].

50:22 “You were heedless of this; now We have removed your veil[1], so your vision is sharp Today.”

50:23 His angel-companion will say, “Here is the record ready with me.”

50:24 [It will be said to the two angels], “Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever,

50:25 every withholder of good, transgressor, and doubter,

50:26 who set up with Allah another god. Throw him into the severe punishment.”

50:27 His [devil] companion will say, “Our Lord, I did not mislead him, but he himself was far astray.”

50:28 Allah will say, “Do not argue in My presence, for I had already given you the warning.

50:29 My Word cannot be changed, nor am I unjust to My slaves.”

50:30 [Beware of] the Day when We will say to Hell, “Have you reached your fill?” It will say, “Are there any more?”

50:31 Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far off.

50:32 [It will be said], “This is what you were promised; this is for everyone who constantly turned [to Allah] and was dutiful,

50:33 who feared the Most Compassionate unseen[1], and came with a devoted heart.

50:34 Enter it in peace. This is the Day of eternity.”

50:35 They will have therein all what they wish for, and We have yet more[1].
