29:64 The life of this world is nothing but amusement and play, and the Abode of the Hereafter is indeed the real life, if only they knew.

29:65 When they board a ship, they supplicate to Allah, devoting their faith sincerely to Him. But as soon as He rescues them to the land, they associate partners with Him,

29:66 showing their ingratitude to what We have given them and enjoy themselves, but they will soon come to know.

29:67 Do they not see that We have made [Makkah] a safe sanctuary, while people around them are being snatched away?[1] Do they still believe in falsehood[2] and show ingratitude to Allah’s favors?

29:68 Who does greater wrong than one who fabricates lies against Allah or rejects the truth when it comes to him? Is there not a home in Hell for the disbelievers?

29:69 As for those who strive in Our cause, We will surely guide them to Our ways[1], for Allah is certainly with those who do good.

30:1 Alif Lām Mīm[1].

30:2 The Romans have been defeated[1]

30:3 in a nearby land[1], but they will gain victory after their defeat

30:4 within a few years. To Allah belongs the whole matter before and after [the victory]. On that day the believers will rejoice

30:5 at the victory granted by Allah[1]. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
