2:203 And remember Allah during the appointed days[1]. But whoever hastens to depart [Mina] on the second day, there is no sin upon him; and whoever delays [until the third], there is no sin upon him for those who fear Allah. So fear Allah, and know that you will be gathered before Him.

2:204 There are some [hypocrites] who amaze you with their words in the life of this world and call upon Allah to witness what is in their heart, yet they are the fiercest opponents[1].

2:205 When they leave [you], they strive to spread corruption in the land[1] and destroy crops and livestock, whereas Allah does not like corruption.

2:206 When it is said to them, “Fear Allah,” pride takes hold of them to persist in sin. Hellfire is sufficient for them. What a terrible resting place!

2:207 But there are some people who sell their souls[1] to seek Allah’s pleasure, and Allah is Most Gracious to His slaves.

2:208 O you who believe, enter into Islam completely and do not follow the footsteps of Satan, for he is your sworn enemy.

2:209 Should you slip back after the clear signs have come to you, then beware that Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

2:210 Are they waiting that Allah should come to them in the shadows of clouds[1], along with the angels? But then the matter would be decided. And to Allah return all matters.
