16:119 As for those who commit evil out of ignorance then repent after that and mend their ways, then your Lord is indeed All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
16:120 Abraham was a model of excellence[1], devoted to Allah and inclined to true faith, and he was not one of those who associate partners with Allah.
16:121 He was grateful for His favors; He chose him and guided him to a straight path.
16:122 We gave him good in this world, and in the Hereafter, he will surely be among the righteous[1].
16:123 Then We revealed to you [O Prophet] to follow the religion of Abraham, inclining to true faith[1], and he was not one of those who associate partners with Allah.
16:124 The Sabbath was only ordained for those who differed about it[1]. Your Lord will surely judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.
16:125 Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom[1] and goodly exhortation[2], and reason with them in the best manner[3]. Your Lord knows best who has strayed from His way and knows best those who are rightly guided.
16:126 If you retaliate, let your retaliation be the like of what you suffered. But if you bear with patience, it is surely best for those who are steadfast.
16:127 And be patient, for your patience comes only from Allah; do not grieve over them[1], nor be distressed by their evil plots.
16:128 Indeed, Allah is with those who fear Him and those who do good.
